History of the Ship
MSC Preziosa originally was began as Phoenicia as commissioned by Hannibal Gaddafi. Phoenicia was to include a 120 ton shark tank into her design. After the Libyan war broke out the contract was cancelled. MSC Cruises stepped in and purchased the vessel and she became MSC Preziosa. MSC Preziosa joined the fleet 2013.
She is an Italian cruise ship sailing in the Mediterranean year round. She is in the Fantasia class of MSC ships which includes MSC Splendida, MSC Fantasia, and MSC Divina.
